I am Male with 5 male characters. I guess I just like being a guy.
Male players who have female characters are fine, a few of my good Guild Wars friends are male with females. It's when they 'act' like a female that kind of boggles the mind.

Male with..
PvE Female warrior
PvE Female paragon
PvE Female dervish
^all of those because the male ones are terribly ugly...
Pve male ranger
^Im gonna delete this one after his 2nd birthday..
Permanent PvP chars (weird I know...):
Female monk
Male sin
Female mesmer
As for random pvp characters.. All female except warrior and necro.
Basicly I think the male paragon, elementalist, monk, mesmer, dervish and ritualist are ugly... Male ranger, sin, war and necro are ok :x

Male with male chars except my ritualist and paragon. i made them female because i thought i was being a bit sexist etc leaving women out. Besides male rits and paragons where skirts and look feminine anyway

I'm male with both males and females. I identify better with my male characters, but my females are nicer company, and I like kick-butt women! And at the risk of sounding like a pig, they are much nicer on the eyes.
I did have a creepy experience once when my perma-pre lady warrior was approached by a man who offered me money if I would strip down and dance for him. Oh Em Eff Gee... is this what you ladies have to put up with in the real world????

Mix. Whatever looks good to me, i choose. E.g. Dervish is definitely more suited to a male brooding dark hero type, whereas Ele definitely looks better with a female...

I'm a guy, and I have both male and female characters.
I've got a female warrior and monk; the rest are males. I don't like the male warrior body type (bulky, world's strongest man type of guy); I also don't like a lot of the male warrior armors (would have to get bulky ones such as primeval, platemail, kurzick). I used to have a male monk until someone pointed out how weird their neck/shoulder area looks (bull headed).

Female with all female characters. Why?
I spent so long when I was younger having to play male characters in games that now when I have the choice of gender I'm sure to choose my own. Male heroes are just so... cliched.

Short answer...yes lol. It's that sort of thing that results in many women either turning into bimbete brainless idiots or feminazis. Some of us however ignore the idiots, party on and find a real man who isn't a brain damaged desperate idiot...

Just because someone chooses a gender opposite of their own doesn't mean they're trying to hide something.

Heh, so true. Voice chat... I like to avoid it a lot because of this sort of behaviour. I don't know how many times I've had people ask me to be their gf or much cruder things when invited on to team chat and they realise I'm a girl.

I am a male. I have 2 males and 2 females.
Monk - male
Necro - male
Ele - female
Warrior - female
Here is what I'll choose every class to be, if I were to play all the classes.
Warrior - either. depends on role?
Ranger - either. by look from campaign
Necro - either. by look from campaign
Ele - either. by look from campaign
Mesmer - male. i'd prefer a hot dude than a skimpy bitch. :]
Monk - male.
Ritualist - female. i don't like the male options
Assassin - female. too many male sins related to "naruto" or the (///.-) haircut.
Dervish - male. I don't like the female's hairstlyes.
Paragon - male. they are so hot hot hot.
